I have a 15HP gas engine and 85 thrust trolling motor on me. Not a speed demon, but the traction motor that moves so far on the river with a working Knott 8, where I need or like to go.
As a boy fishing in the state of Louisiana on 14 'with 6HP hard JONBOAT. Pretty good, but 10 is better. During our drive motor was a rowboat. ;)
